Baylor Chapman

Whether in front of a podium at a lecture hall presentation or digging up soil in a hands-on class, my goal is to encourage and inspire everyone to play with plants and bring even just a bit of green home.

Deep in the heart of San Francisco’s industrial Mission district ….there’s a magical secret garden where I host public and private hands-on workshops. I also love taking the show on the road and have lead large lectures geared for gardeners and non-gardeners alike. Even including corporate leaders who are interested how plants make us better people.

In addition to live speaker events, I have worked with online design communities like Sunset, HGTV, and Houzz, to produce online design videos.

Speaker topics include: The Power of Plants which explores the extraordinary benefits plants offer, how to make the most of them, and ways to display for an enhanced space. And Anyone Can Play with Plants where I divulge ideas on plant decor, draw techniques from different cultures, and give a twist to traditional plant arrangements.

“A dream partner experience! Workshops are thoughtfully designed and warmly delivered. Baylor and her team seem to inspire that party-in-the-kitchen feeling where laughter fills the room and strangers become friends through creative work with plants. I can’t wait to work with Baylor again!”

-Jessa Barzelay, Director of Learning and Engagement, san francisco Botanical Garden

“Swapping technology for plants and nature? Yes, our clients and their guests absolutely loved it. They felt calm, happy, and had a new plant addition to take home at the end of the media outreach event.”
